Two New Additions
Yes, we have added two new additions to our growing family. On June 17, 2011, Jared and Alisa had a beautiful baby boy who they named Isaac. Isaac was born in American Fork, UT, so I got to see him the very same day as he was born after about 27 hours of labor. What a Trooper that Alisa!
On May 25, 2011, Wes and Elizabeth had a beautiful baby girl who they named Samantha. I haven't seen Samantha yet but they are coming down here to Utah to have her blessed on the July 4th weekend along with Isaac.
The following is from the Defense Center of Excellence. www.RealWarriors.net
Here is a video that I received today from a friend, Mary Jo Beckman that I have worked with in the Horses for Heroes program through PATH International (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship), formerly NARHA, and TROT (Therapeutic Riding of Tucson).
New Video Profile: The campaign launched its most recent video profile of Staff Sgt. Stacy Pearsall (http://www.realwarriors.net/multimedia/profiles/pearsall.php ) (U.S Air Force, retired). As a combat photographer documenting every aspect of war, including heavy fighting during multiple Iraq deployments, Pearsall received numerous physical injuries and experienced post-traumatic stress disorder from the events she witnessed. With help from a friend, she found needed support through her local Department of Veterans Affairs.
Mary Jo's addition: ***AND HORSES***
This is worth watching.
There is another dozen or so clips of other veterans telling their stories that are worth watching.

Lucy Mae
I can't believe that I haven't added Lucy Mae Hornby to my blog and she is already 6 months old. I need to keep up on posting the grandchildren on my blog. She is certainly a great addition to our family and the only grandchild of mine born in 2010. The first two photos were taken in Washington in August 2010. The last one was taken in Utah. I think I recognize the lovely flower sofa.

Supplement to Monday's and Tuesday's Blog:
I have heard more than enough anti-gun rhetoric from the politicians and media pundits whose pathological fear of inanimate objects is only surpassed by their fear of an armed citizenry.
FEAR is nothing more than False Evidence Appearing Real.
The people who bash guns and gun owners have simply not had the opportunity to personally experience a large population of responsible gun owners or to personally learn how to safely and expertly use a gun to defend themselves or their loved ones.
So to help all the politicians and pundits who do not know what they do not know regarding the Comfort of Skill at Arms, I will provide a FREE Two Day or Four Day Defensive Handgun Course to EVERY State and Federal Senator and Congressman as well as ANY political commentator from the major television networks, radio stations, or national newspapers so they no longer need to fear guns or fear responsible citizens with guns.
By the end of a Two Day or Four Day Defensive Handgun Course, any politician or pundit will have skills with a handgun that surpass the average law enforcement officer and will no longer fear a handgun in their own hands or the hands of any other responsible citizen.
Yes, Front Sight can deliver on this offer as we have the ability to train over 1,000 students per day on our 550 acre, world class training facility near Las Vegas, NV.
All a State or Federal Senator or Congressman needs to do is send us a letter on their official State or Federal Office letterhead requesting attendance in a Two Day or Four Day Defensive Handgun Course and we will mail them back an application to attend the course of their choice, on the date of their choice at no charge.
All a Political Commentator from a major television network, radio station or national newspaper needs to do is to send us a letter on their official letterhead requesting attendance in a Two Day or Four Day Defensive Handgun Course and we will mail them back an application to attend the course of their choice, on the date of their choice at no charge.
State or Federal Senators and Congressman as well as qualified Political Commentators can attend their chosen course at any time during our 2011 schedule of courses, but we will need to receive their letters requesting attendance by February 15, 2011.
We look forward to training the responsible people in our government and media so they can protect themselves and their loved ones with a handgun-- and no longer need to live in fear of guns or gun owners.
Please spread this blog all over the Internet to get the word out. Please forward it to your government representatives and your favorite political pundits.
Front Sight is happy to lead the way to educate, train and help protect the leaders and voices of our country so they can KNOW the importance of guns in the hands of responsible citizens.
Front Sight stands ready, willing, and able to help.
For those who are not government officials or political pundits, but want the ability to protect themselves and their loved ones, please take advantage of my Greatest Course, Gun and Gear Offer and get a FREE Springfield Armory XD pistol, and all the gear you need when you attend our 5 Day, 30 State CCW Handgun Course. See the details at http://www.frontsight.com/free-gun.asp

Danny Potter passed away on Christmas day 2010
My good friend and cutting & roping buddy, Danny Potter passed away on Christmas Day. He had been sick for quite some time and was staying in a rest home at the time. I had two telephone conversations with Danny over the last two weeks. I am thankful that I did get to talk with him before he died.
Danny rode my black Morgan mare, Circle H Senorita to the first Grand National Championship in 1973. (See photo above) I got to know Danny and his family while they were living in Parker Colorado. Danny's passion was team-roping and he would let me ride his quarter horse stallion, Nudo, to head the steers and he would heal them. Unfortunately, I wasn't a very good roper so most of the time Danny wouldn't have an opportunity to try to heal the steer because I missed the head more often than not.
Danny has a wonderful family and I got to know them very well and was treated like one of the family when with them. I am fortunate to have known him.
