Cars, Trucks & Trailers

My current ride is this 2005 Chrysler Town & Country Mini-Van. The two middle seats have been taken out and the floor beneath them was lowered 10". It has an in-floor ramp that comes out at the push of a button and the van has a kneeling option that lowers the right side of the van to lessen the slope of the ramp for entering the van. It is real handy for taking dad to Salt Lake City to his doctor appointments at the VA because his scooter fits in along with my wheelchair. I can also fit a large dog crate in the back of the van by folding up the back seat. This is my 2006 Jones Dog Trailer/ATV, UTV hauling trailer. It has two dog boxes and a flat bed for hauling ATVs and UTVs. I also used it to haul some furnishings from Texas to Utah last year. This is a 1969 Pontiac Firebird convertible that I won in a raffle in Tucson. It looked great from a distance but it had a lot of problems and I ended up selling it within months of the time I won it. Thanks go to Mrs. T for giving raffle tickets that she bought to her employees. I just got the lucky one. Here she is in all her glory. The paint job was done by Lindsey Nelson in Pleasant Grove. The hood is black with orange spider webs through out. The 6" strip across the back just under the trunk lid was also done in spider web orange. I still did not have wheels on the back to support the L88 427 cid. engine I had in under the hood. I did get some later but did not get any photos of it then. This is my 1967 Chevelle Super Sport with a 396 cid. engine. I had put a new hood with a scoop on it and did not have it painted yet. Check out the next photo of my competition orange '67 Chevelle after I had some work done on it. This is one of my favorite cars ever. It is a 1970 Buick GSX with a 455 cid. engine. I bought this car new in 1970 from Holly Auto in American Fork. I had a lot of fun with this car including many battles with a friend of mine, John McGilvary, who had a 1968 Ford Mustang California Special with the 428 cid. engine. The Ford was faster but the fun was still there. This is my 1989 Ford one ton dually. Unfortunately, it had a gas engine in it, a 460 cid. gas guzzler. That is our fifth wheel travel trailer on the left. You can only see part of it because it is facing the same way as the truck. They are parked at our house in Tucson on Ammon Place. That is my finger on the left of the photo. This GMC van had the fold-out Ricon lift and I took the middle seats out so I would have room for my wheelchair and dad's scooter. I also took the bench seat/bed out of the back and put one of the captain's chairs in the back to make more room in the middle. This is my 1999 3/4 ton Dodge short bed pickup truck with the Cummings diesel engine. I really liked this truck a lot. You can see on the trailer my 1995 GMC Vandura 3/4 ton conversion van. It was having a bad day. It had many bad days. I bought this truck in Nogales AZ. This photo is taken in Texas. You can see here that the ramp on the Dodge is a folding type ramp. This was a nice vehicle but I sold it after I had it for a year and a half. I missed it so much that I bought a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country mini van just about like it. The T & C is a bright red and has the ramp built into the floor. This is a 2003 Dodge Caravan. It is equipped with a wheelchair ramp and a kneeling option that lowers the passenger side of the car about 6"- 8" so the angle of the ramp is not too steep. You can see it in the photo above. This is a 2006, 24' Play-mor Toy Hauler. Only the front 8' is used for living area. The back 16' is pretty much open for the "toys" which will be my wheelchair, dad's scooter, walker and Lazy Boy recliner. Photo taken in Texas. This is my father. He travels with me and is part of the reason for the truck and travel trailer. It is very difficult to find a wheelchair accessible room at the last minute when traveling and with this truck and trailer we can stop where ever we want to. This is the truck (2007 Chevrolet Silverado Vortec Maxx) that I bought in March 2007. I really like this truck. I also bought this Play-Mor travel trailer at the same time. It is really a toy hauler and it has tons of room in the back. I used it to haul my furnishings from Austin Texas to Utah. The truck is pretty tricked. It has 20" wheels and a 6.0 liter gas engine. Lots of get up and go.
