Dogs

This is my new dog Meg. She is a two year old Border Collie. I bought her from Glenda Ericsson in Oklahoma. She is in training to be a working cow dog. I really like this dog. She loves people and is an easy keeper. She has had some training with Red Oliver in Texas, Michele in Texas and Robin Nuffer in Idaho. I hope to take her back to Idaho for a tune up in the summer of 2009. This is Lonerider Joe, a Border Collie that I got from Red Oliver in Texas. He was going to be my cattle dog until he met an untimely demise. I really liked this dog. This is a dog I got from the Humane Society. His name is Jester McNichol. He is an Australian Shepherd. I did lots of training with him. I even did some tracking with him at Triple Crown. This is a Chijuajua that I inherited from Alisa, I think. Her name is Chica. I made this e-collar for her but, never fear, I didn't use it on her. This is C'mere at about one year old. When I left Texas I gave the dog to the neighbor girl who loved him and would come over to play with him. In Texas a friend gave me this little Jack Russel Terrier. I named him "C'mere" (come here) because he never would come to me. Here he is asleep in Alisa's bed when she visited me in Texas. This is me working a a black German Shepherd in one phase of Shutzhund where the dog will take a bite on the sleeve when I make a move to escape. (See small photo in upper left corner). This is the certificate I received from Triple Crown Academy in Hutto, Texas where I attended a dog training school for 3 months and graduated with my certificate as a Specialist in Canine Behavior and Training. One of the dogs I worked with at The Tom Rose School (TRS) was a German Shepherd named "X". This is a photo of X at the Pima County Air Museum next to the Air Force One of former President Lyndon B. Johnson. X was trained as a service dog, narcotics detection dog, and I won several awards with him in local dog shows for his Shutzhund work. This is my certificate for completing the dog training course at the Tom Rose School of Dog Training. I spent almost a year and a half there. It was a good time and it was a bad time. The certificate I received was for Professional Dog Trainer.
